Today's lecture is an introduction to Management and Information Systems (MIS)
which is getting the right information, at the right time, to the right people but also the module guide which contents everything we have to do or know for the second semester.
We went through the module guide  with Haider Bilal, the lecturer who explain deeply what is expected from us during the semester. He explains how the we will work as a group for the first task.
The group of five will choose a name for their company, work with a real business. The company will analyse, understand, identify and find a IS solution for the business to help support their business strategy. We talk about how we will go about it and how the group work will help us do the individual report we have to do at the end of the semester.

The second part of the lecture is about the 21st century challenges for organisations.
we talk about the evolution of the way informations are shared from the primitive stage to the information age. We talk about the key factors enabling globalisation and outsourcing.

There are five factors of trend that affect all businesses: Social Media, which are the most dominant way of socialising; Internet Things; Cloud Computing; Big Data and Mobile.

MIS is vital today when it comes to manage  the flow of information in an organisation.
